Covid 19 has challenged all of us on every front in different ways and inspired us to create solutions. The pandemic came on so quickly, we had to change our approach. Do we safely get our clients the estimates they want without sitting at their kitchen table?
We’ve started the process primarily by email and phone call follow-up. This has worked beautifully since homeowners have time to review the materials on their own and formulate the garage door questions they really want to ask. Once the design is picked, we provide a written quote with an image of the design so they can visualize the door design and cost.
Next, we schedule a 5 minute site check where our estimators can stop by get the measurements we need and be gone, most of the time without ever seeing the client in person. We arrive with a tablet and tape measure.
The estimating and design portion is the first half of the battle. Then, we had to figure out how to install the client’s doors while keeping our install crew and clients safe. With clear communications, it worked! We contact you by text or call to let you know the installer was “on the way”, so the homeowner opens the door open before we arrive. Once the installer has tested and completed the installation, he notifies the office. Then, we contact you for the final walk- through and closing the ticket. It’s gone smoother than we could have asked!
We always work on ways to address the hurdles that come our way and improve the customer experience. This is just one of the opportunities we had to show our clients they are number one when you work with us.
